Feels unpolished. There's no discernible projectile when you fire a bullet, and zombies just poof out of existence. The backgrounds and doors are fairly bland.

And as everyone else is saying, doors that kill you with no warning are bad design. Period. Unless you're just trying to piss people off.

Difficult retro platformers are some of my favorites. Haven't finished it yet, but looking forward to playing the second half.

There was a surprising amount of depth to the design that I did not expect when I saw the title screen and initial levels. You have a good eye for level design, and for getting the most out of simple gameplay mechanics. Keep it up!

Asking players to refresh if they lose is extremely lazy. Spawning a new player character upon death is trivial. Pretty much guarantees that most people will only try one time.

I played this game when you posted it on the Mochi forums, and gave some feedback on it at that time. Doesn't look like much, if any, of that feedback was addressed. I guess the sound effects were more annoying at that time, but now they're slightly less annoying.

A very solid game. The aesthetics are pleasant, the music is catchy, a lot of gameplay concepts are introduced in a very gentle way. For a game with a lot of UI, there are really no problems on that end, so bravo. Using 100% mouse controls was a great idea. Really loved the game, and will continue my save file soon =)

I'm guessing you're just learning how to code and design games. Stick with it and keep learning =)

Interesting idea, but it has this overarching feeling of randomness to everything you do. It's really hard to feel confident that what you want to do is what is going to happen when you try to move.

I'm not sure if you're an evil genius or just evil. I've never played a game where I had to grind just to survive more than a few seconds, but somehow it was also oddly compelling...

I played for like 15 minutes, but I wouldn't say I enjoyed it. I just wanted to see where this was going. Some of the coins can't be reached, at least not without tons more grinding.

Very strange game you've got here.

I'm learning how to make games.
